Ranbir and Deepika shoot secret video

That song! Rishi Kapoor dancing to the incredibly catchy beats of R.D Burman’s Bachna ae haseenon lo mein aa gaya in Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin.

Tomorrow, that’s Thursday, Siddharth Anand along will start shooting a music video in support of his film Bachna Ae Haseenon. It will feature Ranbir with all his lovely leading ladies Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone. And yes, for nostalgia’s sake Rishi Kapoor might join in too.

“Though I’m too scared to ask him as yet, ” laughs director Siddharth Anand. “The only time Yashraj have done separate music videos for their films is for Dhoom. It’s the project that determines the promotion. I think we had a great title song and it was waiting to be used as a music video.”

Siddharth says the original song’s opening has been retained. “We have used the song from Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin by Kishore Kumar at the beginning of the track.

Then we got Kishoreda and Leena Chandavrakarji’s son Sumeet to sing the rest of the song as an original composition. So it’d be quite an emotional and nostalgic trip. Kishoreda’s son sings for Chintuji’s son.”

Siddharth insists that the rest of the track has been completely re-worked by Vishal-Shekhar. “It’s not a remix at all.

The track takes off from the original in a totally different tangent.We had taken a conscious decision not to use the song unless it turned out as special as we wanted it to be. We’re really proud of how the title song has turned out.”

And now Siddharth starts shooting with choreographer Ahmed Khan. “From tomorrow, all of us Ranbir, Bipasha, Minissha and Deepika and Ahmed are getting completely engrossed in the shooting the video.”

Interestingly Ranbir Kapoor tried to sing his father’s song but gave up the idea.

Says Siddharth, “We did try Ranbir’s own voice for the track. He does have a great singing voice. But we were in a hurry and we didn’t want to make it overly gimmicky.

I think I’ll keep Ranbir’s singing for posterity…I’m actually really nervous about Bachna Ae Haseenon. Everyone talks about his film being different. So I’m hesitant to use that word.

Like Salaam Namaste, Bachna Ae Haseenon is a trueblue romantic comedy. But I’m confident. Ranbir is exceptionally talented.”

After Deepika SRK to romance another model Anuskha Sharma

Teaming up with SRK in her debut movie did wonders for Deepika Padukone and now another model Anuskha Sharma will get to repeat the same wonder.

The 21-year-old model has been signed by Aditya Chopra to play the lead again SRK in his upcoming movie Rab Ne Banadi Jodi. Rab Ne Banadi Jodi shows a 40-year-old guy (SRK) falling in love with a 16-year-old girl.

Yash Chopra confirmed the news saying,” We were looking first and foremost for someone who could truly embody the spirit of small-town Punjab and we know we have found her in Anushka. And while she has no previous acting experience, we have seen that unique spark in her that makes us confident that she will be a standout even opposite Shahrukh.”

Aditya Chopra is back on the directors seat for Rab Ne Banadi Jodi after 8-long-years. Lets hope the movie is a super-duper hit.

Deepika: Double the Fun

Nikhil Advani has been shooting with hectic celerity in China for his new comedy actioner Chandni Chowk To China Town..

He now moves to Bangkok.

Quiz him about the music of the film and he says, “While the rest of the score by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with a little help from Kailash Kher is completely original we’ve used Bappi Lahiri’s Bombay se aaya mera dost from the film Aap Ki Khatir. Bappi has reworked and re-sung the song.”

The subject shifts to Deepika Padukone. The rumour is that Deepika ia doing a double role in Chandni Chowk To China.

“That’s right,” confirms Nikhil. “Deepika is doing a double role in my film.”

This would be Deepika’s third realease and her second double role after Om Shanti Om.

Just when we thought Shankar’s Robot was all set to go on floors came a bad news that Ash might eventually pull out of the ambitious project given the director’s plans to shoot the film over a period of two years. That apparently is not acceptable to Ash who cannot afford to give so much of time to a project. There are also news doing rounds about Deepika Padukone’s inclusion into this sci-fi Rajni starrer. Shankar and Rajnikant are very fond of Ash, who made her acting debut in Shankar’s film ‘Jeans’. Since then, the director has approached Ash for every single film he has made except ‘Boys’, but every time Ash has turned him down for one reason or another. It remains to be seen if she has turned him down again for ‘Robot’. We hear, the actress has already asked Rohan Sippy to start his film Happy Birthday which stars John Abraham besides her due to delays in Robot. However some insiders maintain that Robot is getting delayed due to security reasons and not Aishwarya refusal. The major hurdle in rolling the project, which will be shot at different locales in India and overseas, is that the areas have to be scanned from the security point of view. Both Rajnikanth and Ash come under a high protection security network. Post wedding, Ash’s security has beenoverhauled. All her shoot locales are now thoroughly scanned by the producers and rest of the crew. Reportedly, Aishwarya was promised Rs 4 crore for Robot which is slated to be a bilingual venture – both in Hindi and Tamil.

Possesive Deepika keeps Ranbir away from Sonam

Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were very close friends a few months back but not anymore. Sonam’s co-star of her first movie Saawariya is not even talking to her anymore, reason is a possessive girlfriend Deepika .

I am in love with Ranbir: Deepika

After shying away from and playing cloak and dagger and leaving a lot to speculation,. Deepika Padukone confirmed that she and Ranbir Kapoor are definitely a couple.

Deepika Padukone has finally revealed the truth about that special man in her life, and he is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. After shying away for a long time the lovely lass has now put all the speculations to rest and admitted that she is indeed dating Ranbir. Deepika has been quoted saying, ‘I am in love.’

“Yes, Ranbir and I are seeing each other. I am so sorry that the media will not have any gossip to write about me anymore”, said Deepika. In an interview with a Mumbai tabloid she also said that love is the most beautiful emotion in the world.

Ask her how it happened and she tells,” Whenever Ranbir and I met, the media started speculating. We used to meet often but that was because we were getting to know each other better. After a certain time, we drifted apart because we both got busy with our respective shooting schedules.

Today, we realise that we are compatible with each other. So, we have no qualms in telling the world that we are in love.”

Now that their relationship is out in the open, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have overnight become the most talked-about couple in filmdom.

But what about Yuvraj Singh and Nihar Pandya?

“We were kind of dating. But I never got to spend time with him to get to know him better. As soon as I met him, he went off to Australia.

So I am not commenting anymore on my past. I am very happy right now in my relationship with Ranbir,” says Deepika and adds,”About Nihar, his parents have taken care of me and treated me like family. I am in touch with Nihar and his parents.”

As for future plans to take the plunge and seal their relationship, the couple does not have any such plans for the near future. At the moment their careers are what matters the most to both of them, who are on their way to make a mark within the film industry.
